A place for the work in progress
This is an example of a lab-note format for an on-device AI experiment. It does not announce a release or claim capabilities that have not been demonstrated.
Research updates can be useful before a project is finished. A clear account of a failed approach, a surprising result, or a better test can be more informative than a polished promise.
Give the experiment a boundary
Begin with the behavior you want to investigate. Describe the setup, the baseline, and what would count as improvement before interpreting the output.
A published update should identify the relevant version, show representative examples, and discuss failure cases. Readers should be able to tell what was observed and what remains a hypothesis.
Close with the next question
Explain what the experiment changed about your understanding. Then name the next test that could strengthen or overturn that understanding.
When the first real model-development update is ready, replace this example with the actual setup, evidence, and links to supporting material.
